Altrincham
Waitrose had been searching for a site to the north of Altrincham to develop a new supermarket. Land at Stamford Brook was in the ownership of the National Trust and had a longstanding allocation for a local centre to serve new housing. We were the lead consultants for the planning application and for liaison with the National Trust.
Planning permission was granted without event.
Public support generated by consultation and engagement and a good working relationship with Officers of the Council were important to the smooth delivery of the planning permission. Our working relationship with the National Trust was also invaluable.
