Alyn Nicholls is a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute and has been working as a planning consultant for over 35 years. Before setting up his own practice in 1990, he was a full equity partner at a national planning consultancy dealing with a wide range of development proposals including mineral extraction, housing, commercial and industrial development, retail and leisure uses. He was also responsible for setting up a Leeds office for the practice.
Throughout his career, Alyn has worked with a diverse range of clients many of which are household names. He provides strategic, pragmatic advice based on a thorough understanding of issues and over three decades of planning experience. He has extensive experience of presenting expert evidence at public inquiries, planning appeal hearings and public examinations. He also has appeared at the Lands Tribunal and as an expert witness in the Courts.
Lesley Parsons is Alyn’s PA and also provides planning administration support. She has more than 30 years’ experience of the planning process having worked for the Head of Planning at a firm of leading planning lawyers before joining Alyn to start his new practice in 1990. Lesley was also responsible for securing our Planning Champion status.
